RHS Choral Director, Greg Fryhling
Greg Fryhling has been the Choral Director at Richland High School since the 2004-2005 school year. He earned his Undergraduate Degree, cum laude, in K-12 Choral Music Education, from Pacific Lutheran University, and his Masters Degree in Music from Central Washington University.
Under Mr. Fryhling’s direction, RHS choirs have earned numerous superior and excellent ratings at choral contests and festivals, and have been selected to perform in showcase performances at the CBC Choral Festival and Washington State University Choral Festival. RHS choirs have performed at festivals throughout the Pacific Northwest as well as traveling to Anaheim, CA and Carnegie Hall in New York City. Numerous students have received Outstanding Soloist Awards at various jazz festivals across the Northwest. Many students have been selected to participate in All-State and All-Northwest honor choirs. He has composed and arranged many pieces for the RHS choirs over the years and always strives to find new and uncommon music to challenge his students and bring the RHS choral program to the forefront of what's unique and exciting in the world of choral music in the Tri-Cities.
Courses he has taught at RHS include: Chamber Choir, Jazz Reaction, Treble Choir, Concert Choir, Guitar Class, and Musical Theatre. He also has been Vocal Director for all RHS musical productions since 2005 including “Little Shop of Horrors,” “Into the Woods,” “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” “Seussical,” “Once on This Island*”,“The Sound of Music*,” and "Anything Goes."
